BOHAG BIHU CELEBRATION, APRIL 16, 2024

Bohag Bihu, also popularly known as Rongali Bihu, is one of the major festivals of Assam, celebrated in mid-April. It's the most popular Bihu, marking the Assamese New Year and coinciding with the first day of the Hindu Solar calendar. On the eve of Rongali Bihu, Vartak Model School held a solo Bihu dance competition under the supervision of Principal Mrs. Jonali Talukdar Sarmah. Students from Nursery to Class V participated with great enthusiasm. All the teachers, including the principal, donned traditional Assamese attire. The celebration also featured a group Bihu dance performance by the teachers, creating a festive and joyous atmosphere throughout the school premises. Winners later received certificates.
