VAN MAHOTSAV CELEBRATION; PLANTATION OF SAPLINGS 2023

“Trees make the Earth green, clean, beautiful and screen”. Van Mahotsav is a type of festival which is celebrated for tree plantation. It is organized every year in the first week of July across all over India when millions of trees are planted on this beautiful day. Vartak Model School have also organized plantation of sapling activity under the supervision of the Principal Mrs Jonali Talukdar Sharma. The students from class I to V actively participated in this activity. This activity was conducted to inculcate a feeling of responsibility towards our nature. The students, class teacher along with the Principal agreed to plant trees in the campus of the school. Various types of tree saplings were planted in the school premises. The class teacher explain to the students the importance of different trees that were planted. The principal also talked about how planting trees helps in to make the surrounding greener and how trees serve as homes to many birds and animals. She asked the students to take proper care of the planted sapling until they grow bigger. She also suggested that every student should at least plant one tree per year.. All the students participated in the activity with immense zeal and enthusiasm.
