BOHAG BIHU CELEBRATION 2023

Bohag Bihu is one of the major festivals of Assam commonly known as Rongali Bihu. It is celebrated in Assam during the month of April. It is the most popular Bihu which celebrates the onset of Assamese New year (around April 15) and the coming of spring. This marks the first day of the Hindu Solar calendar. On the eve of Rongali Bihu a competition was organised on Vartak Model School on 13th April 2023 under the supervision of the Principal Mrs JonaliTalukdar Sarmah. Many student from Class Nursery to Class V participated in the competition. Teachers dressed in traditional Assamese attire performed Bihu dance. The Principal also sang a melodious Bihu song which add adorn in the program. A festive and joyous atmosphere prevailed in the School premises.
