DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION 2022

“India is known as a land of festivals and celebration, Dussehra is one of them which is unique in its perception and significance.” Festivals are the period of celebration and bring peace and joy for everyone. They are an expressive way to celebrate glorious heritage, culture and traditions. Dussehra is a festival of victory of goodness over evil. We celebrated this festival in our school. First of all, we decorated the stage and made effigie of Ravana. To enhance that among our little ones, Vartak Model School organized fun filled and learning activities for Dussehra celebration which included a role play by the little ones in which children were beautifully dressed up to play the role of their favourite mythological character from Ramayana. Keeping the festive spirit alive, they presented a mini dance drama on Ramayana and mahishasur badh. The skit conveyed the message of victory of Lord Rama over Ravana and reinforced the message that good always triumphs over evil. The celebration was a part of our philosophy of ‘ learning by doing’ Children learnt values of honesty, respect, humility and obedience, which are the core of our Indian epic ,Ramayana. All the children enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the celebration. The Principal Mrs Jonali Talukdar Sarmah appreciated the children. She said we must learn from their lives. Then we set the effigies on fire. The children enjoyed very much the burning of the effigies and crackers placed in them.
