TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION
Teacher’s Day is celebrated in India on 5th September to pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country and a visionary educator. The day is also celebrated to appreciate the role played by teachers in the life of students–the leaders of tomorrow. Teachers provide the power of knowledge and education, and create possibilities for better future. Vartak Model School celebrated this day with great enthusiasm. The whole event was meticulously planned by Principal Mrs Aparna Agrawal and coordinator Mrs Jonali Sarmah. The message and wishes from management was forwarded to the teachers. The cultural programme commenced with a speech by Mrs Chitrani who spoke on the inherent qualities of a successful teacher, followed by a speech by Mrs Ivi and the song in the mesmerizing voice of Mrs. Jonali Sarmah. Mrs Sushma Singh also threw light on the role of ‘Gurus’ in our life. After the formal program, Principal and Coordinator conducted quite interesting games for the staff and then prizes were distributed to the winners. The Principal Mrs Aparna Agrawal in her address appreciated the efforts put in by the teachers but at the same time exhorted the teachers to gear up to face the changing demands of the online learners. She urged the teachers to add value to their teaching through experimental learning. And then she gave away the tokens of gratitude to the staff. The programme ended with high tea. The entire programme was liked by everyone present and will always remain a beautiful memory in the hearts of one and all present.
