RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION, RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION & RAKHI MAKING ACTIVITY

Vartak Model School organized a Rakhi-Making Activity for students in Nursery, LKG, and UKG, along with a Rakhi-Making Competition for Classes I to V on 27 August 2026. The objective was to foster creativity, encourage artistic expression, and familiarize students with the cultural significance of Raksha Bandhan. The activity for pre-primary classes provided students with an opportunity to design and create colorful and attractive Rakhis using a variety of materials. The young learners participated with great enthusiasm, displaying remarkable imagination, originality, and craftsmanship in their work. The competition for Classes I to V was thoughtfully planned to help students develop creativity, patience, concentration, fine motor skills, and aesthetic presentation. Teachers guided and motivated the participants throughout the event while allowing them the freedom to express their individual ideas and artistic talents. Students presented beautifully decorated Rakhis incorporating vibrant colors, decorative threads, beads, sequins, ribbons, and other craft materials. Their eager participation reflected both an appreciation for Indian traditions and a enthusiasm for hands-on, meaningful learning. The Rakhi-Making Activity and Competition was a productive, enjoyable, and enriching experience for everyone involved. It successfully combined artistic expression with cultural learning, helping students understand the values of love, care, respect, and the special bond shared between siblings. Additionally, a small Raksha Bandhan celebration was held during the school assembly, where the handmade Rakhis were proudly displayed. Student siblings tied Rakhis on each other's wrists to mark the occasion. The program concluded with the distribution of sweets among all students and staff.
