80TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELDEBRATION
Vartak Model School celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on 15 August 2026. The celebration was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Brigadier Sanjeet Singh, Chief Engineer, HQ, Project Vartak, and Patron, Vartak Model School, along with other distinguished dignitaries: Mrs. Nidhi Gill, Honorary Director, Vartak Model School; Col. Dhiraj Joshi, Dir (Estg), HQ, CE (P) Vartak, Chairman, Vartak Model School; Mr. A. P. Shahi, EE (Civ), HQ, CE (P) Vartak, Secretary, Vartak Model School; Mr. D. K. Das, Camp Commandant, HQ, CE (P) Vartak; Mr. Narendra Kumar, OC, AGE, HQ, CE (P) Vartak, Nominated Parent Member, Vartak Model School; Mrs. Sonal Shahi; and Mrs. Reena Das. Their gracious presence added dignity and significance to the occasion. The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Brigadier Sanjeet Singh, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The Chief Guest, dignitaries, and the school community paid tribute to the brave freedom fighters who made countless sacrifices for the independence of our nation. The Chief Guest and other dignitaries were welcomed with traditional Assamese gamosas and tricolour badges. A cultural programme was organised in which students presented various performances, including patriotic song, dances by toddlers from Nursery, LKG, and UKG, dance performances by students of classes I and II, and a mesmerizing patriotic dance by students of classes III, IV, and V. Speeches and patriotic poems filled the atmosphere with pride and enthusiasm. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of Independence Day, reminding students of their duties and responsibilities towards the nation. The inspiring words of the dignitaries motivated the students to become responsible, disciplined, and patriotic citizens, making the celebration truly memorable. The Principal delivered the vote of thanks, and the Honorary Director distributed sweets among the students. The programme concluded with a message of unity, peace, and patriotism. The Independence Day celebration was a grand success and left everyone with a renewed sense of pride in our nation.
