CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION, 14TH NOV 2025
REPORT ON CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION “Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of our nation and the citizens of tomorrow.” — Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Vartak Model School celebrated Children’s Day on November 14, 2022, with great festivity and fervour, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India. The Principal, Mrs. Jonali Talukdar Sarmah, along with the teachers, decorated the entrance area and the stage with a beautiful banner and balloons. The Principal and the class teachers gave all the students a warm welcome with a toffee. The Principal presided over the function, lighting a lamp in honor of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who is known for his relentless efforts in increasing awareness of the rights, care, and education of children. The program started with a Fancy Dress Competition for students from Class Nursery to Class V. The medium (or "The theme") could not limit the boundless creativity of the parents, who dressed their children with imagination. They were dressed as Krishna, Chandrayaan 3, Drop of blood, Narendra Modi, Woman Victim, Zubeen Garg, etc., to name a few. Children participated with great enthusiasm and displayed their confidence while speaking. Their innocent words and stage performance won the hearts of the teachers and the judge. The school also organized a Musical Chair Competition for students in Class III to V. The game proved to be a great success. It was a wonderful way for students to develop their coordination, balance, and spatial awareness, as well as to learn how to handle competition in a friendly way. The programme ended with the distribution of prizes by the Principal. Children’s Day gifts and snacks were also distributed among all children. Class teachers also lovingly made beautiful handmade Children’s Day badges for their respective class students. The entire programme was applauded by everybody present and will always remain etched in the memory of one and all.
