79TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2025
The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur and patriotic fervor at Vartak Model School. The school was beautifully decorated to create a festive atmosphere. The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by the Chief Guest, Brigadier Sanjeet Singh, Chief Engineer, Headquarters, Project Vartak, and Patron of Vartak Model School. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The event was attended by the Chairman of Vartak Model School, Col G.S. Mallan, Director EME, the Secretary of Vartak Model School, Mr. A. P. Shahi, EE, CIV, and other members of the school's management committee. The Chief Guest and other invited dignitaries were warmly welcomed by the Principal and students with bouquets of flowers, tricolor badges, and traditional Assamese gamusas. A Class V student delivered a speech in Hindi, emphasizing the importance of freedom, the sacrifices made by freedom fighters, and the responsibilities of citizens in nation-building. Following the speech, students from various classes, along with some teachers, performed a patriotic song. Students further enhanced the celebratory mood with cultural programs, including dances and a dance drama, which highlighted a strong sense of national pride. The Chief Guest addressed the students, urging them to always do their best and to be proud of their Indian identity. The Principal, Mrs. Jonali Talukdar Sarmah, concluded the formal proceedings with a vote of thanks. The event concluded with the Chief Guest distributing sweets to all students, leaving them with a sense of joy and patriotism. Refreshments were also arranged for the chief guests, committee members, teachers, and invited parents. The entire celebration was a testament to the school's commitment to fostering a sense of national identity and unity among its students.
