TEACHER'S TRAINING WORKSHOP 2025-26
Teacher learning is a continuous process that promotes teachers' teaching skills, mastery of new knowledge, and development of new proficiencies, ultimately contributing to improved student learning. As a goodwill gesture, Viva Education, Guwahati, conducted an interactive and impactful workshop on effective teaching techniques at Vartak Model School on March 29, 2025. The workshop was held under the supervision of Principal Mrs. Jonali T. Sarmah. Mrs. Debastuti Sarma, Assistant Professor at the College of Education, Guwahati, and Counselor at IGNOU, served as the resource person. The workshop commenced with a welcome speech by Coordinator Mrs. Mridusmita Borah. The Principal welcomed the guest with a traditional Assamese gamusa. Focusing on 'Early Childhood Education and Care' and the NEP 2020, the resource person discussed various teaching techniques to enhance the teaching-learning process, emphasizing the importance of child-friendly approaches. Teachers' queries and challenges were addressed, and innovative teaching ideas were shared. Teachers were encouraged to incorporate language games to foster interactive classroom environments. The workshop concluded with suggestions for teachers on effective planning, implementation, and evaluation techniques. The session was reflective and goal-oriented. Participants were asked to provide feedback on the workshop's content and methodology. Overall, the teachers expressed satisfaction with the workshop. Point tea and lunch were provided for the guests and participants.
