TEACHER'SDAY CELEBRATION 2024

“Teachers shape the minds of our children and our future. There really are no words to express gratitude for all they do. Many of them are role models and make a huge difference in the lives of children” Teachers' Day, a celebration honoring the invaluable contributions of educators, is observed on the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a former President of India. On September 5, 2024, Vartak Model School commemorated this special day. The stage was adorned with colorful paper cutouts and a photo frame of teachers, decorated with heartfelt messages of appreciation. Mrs. Jonali Talukdar Sarmah, the Principal, presided over the function, lighting a lamp in honor of Dr. Radhakrishnan. Students then welcomed each teacher with traditional rituals, including arti with a diya and flower, and an Assamese gamusa. A class 5 student delivered a speech, explaining the significance of Teachers' Day and Dr. Radhakrishnan's contributions. The students prepared a variety of performances, including lively dances that depicted the heartwarming bond between teachers and students. As part of the celebration, class 5 students took on the role of teachers, leading lessons in their assigned classes. By participating in Teachers' Day, students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of teachers and learned to respect their profession. A fun-filled game was organized on the school grounds, evoking nostalgic memories for the teachers and bringing back a sense of their own school days.
