INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2024

“Our unity is our strength and diversity is our power” The 78th Independence day was celebrated with great joy at Vartak Model School on 15th August 2024. On this day the school campus was nicely decorated with tricolour balloons and flags. Students came to school in clean uniform. The program started at 9:35 a.m. with the welcome of the honourable Chief Guest respected Brigadier Raman Kumar S V Sir, Chief Engineer, Head Quarter Project Vartak, Patron, Vartak Model School, respected Mrs G S Anitha Ma’am, Hony Director, Vartak Model School, respected AP Shahi Sir, Executive Engineer, (Civil), Secratary, Vartak Model School, respected Mrs Sonal Shahi Ma’am, respected Mr. DK Das Sir, Camp Commandant, Respected Mrs Reena Das Ma’am, Respected Mr Narendra Kumar Sir, AE, Civil, Project Vartak, Nominated Parent Member, Vartak Model School & Parents were also invited to the celebration. In the presence of a gleeful gathering the chief guest respected Brigadier Raman Kumar S V Sir hoisted the National Flag at 9:40 a.m. All sang the national anthem “Jana Gana Mana” with great pride and patriotism. After the national anthem the chief guests were welcomed with a tricolour badge and Assamese traditional gamusa. After that a speech on Independence day was given by one of the student from class 4. A patriotic group dance was performed by the tiny tots from the pre primary section. A patriotic group song was presented by the primary students. A patriotic group dance was also performed by the students from class 1 to class 5 and a duet patriotic dance was also performed by the students of class V. After the stage performances, , Brigadier Raman Kumar S V Sir, Chief Engineer, Head Quarter Project Vartak, Patron, Vartak Model School was invited on the stage to distribute certificates of merit to the students. Certificates to the winner of another competition were also distributed on the stage that was held on 14th August at Vartak Mani Bhawan to foster patriotism and spread awareness about Tringa among children. There were two categories: under 10 years and above 10 years. After that the chief guest Brigadier Raman Kumar S V Sir was requested to speak a few words on the stage. Patron Sir delivered a motivational speech. At the end Principal Mrs Jonali Talukdar Sarmah delivered vote of thanks. After that Hony Director Mrs G S Anitha Ma’am distributed sweets among the students. Refreshments were also arranged for the chief guest and teachers.
