VAN MAHOTSAV CELEBRATION 2024

Van Mahotsav is a type of festival which is celebrated for tree plantation. It is organized every year in the first week of July across all over India when millions of trees are planted on this beautiful day. Vartak Model School have also organized plantation of sapling activity. In an age where the jungles are more asphalt than natural the staff and students came together to plant saplings. Students from Class Nursery to Class V actively participated in the activity. The students and teachers collectively decided to plant trees within the school campus. Various types of tree saplings, such as mango, guava, neem etc. were planted. The class teachers explained to the students about the significance of the different trees, how trees help regulate temperature and absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They also emphasized the role of trees in providing habitat for birds and animals and contributing to the greenery of the surroundings. They suggested that each student should plant at least one tree every year to combat global warming.
